Gents,
What appears to be a CBE neck badge (worn as a breast badge) on a HSU Guards general who fought at Kursk and later in Machuria.

Gents,
Although only a "75 percenter", he is nevertheless an impressive two-war veteran who deserves inclusion here.

Gents,
Although a bit later (photo dates to September 1942), a very nice cavalry insignia on this Cossack colonel.

Is there a name on the signals general in #14? Steen Ammentorp is always looking for this sort of portrait for his Generals Of The World website.
#13 dunno. I have one (late 1930s) too:
Zoomed in, it is clearly a British type WW1 tank in a gear:
Absolutely NO clue what it is or why it apparently isn't ARMY.
Rick,
I recently came across this image which offers somewhat better detail of this branch insignia.

To all:
On 12 July 1945, Field Marshal Montgomery, acting on behalf of the King of England, presented honorary British knighthoods to the following Red Army officers:
Marshal of the Soviet Union Zhukov; Commander, 1st Belorussian Front - Knight Grand Cross of The Most Honourable Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)
Marshal of the Soviet Union Rokossovskiy; Commander, 2nd Belorussian Front - Knight Commander of The Most Honourable Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)
General of the Army Sokolovskiy; Deputy Commander, 1st Belorussian Front - Knight Commander of The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.)
Colonel General Malinin; Chief of Staff, 1st Belorussian Front - Knight Commander of The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.)
The ceremony took place in the heart of shattered Berlin directly underneath the Brandenburg Gate. The Kings Company of the Grenadier Guards formed the Guard of Honor with tanks of the Kings 8th Royal Irish Hussars drawn up on either side.

Gents,
A couple of additional color images from that day. The first was taken prior to the investiture.

VERY odd! He is not wearing any medals dating after 1948, suggesting this is a copy (by Inturist????
) of a VERY outdated photo!
He wasn't a WW2 Admiral.
Rick,
Great catch. My bad. After reexamining the image more closely, it dates to June 1, 1956. The stamp on the back partially obscured the year.
Note, too, that he was awarded the Order of Nakhimov.

Nice custom painted ribbons.
I think we've seen MISTAKEN double awards of 3rd Classes before... probably mentioned in old threads (but how to FIND them again?). I seem to recall a case discussed here where it took decades to get a correct 2nd Class for a doubled 3rd.
The only way to be CERTAIN is to have both serial numbers researched.
Gents,
Rick is correct. Erroneous multiple awards of the same class of the Order of Glory were not uncommon. Archival research will verify/refute this particular case.
