    1. Hallo erin, beer.gif

welcome to the G.M.I.C. our members are more than happy to try and help you identify your items, we have a specific section devoted to helping with unknown items and if you were to post 1-3 items a week say over the next few months I am sure we could help you identify the items correctly.

To help identify the items pictures of both sides of the medals would be a great help or even scans of the medals.

Might just be the thing to help pass the time over the next few months.

And again welcome to the Forum.

Kevin thank you for the note, I will in fact do that i also have lots of other things such as original mission orders from ww2 a gun that Gen Patton gave my grandfather who traveled with him or close by as his mechanic and just boxes of stuff that meant the world to him and now since his passing i would like to make sure they go someplace where they can be honored. Its not only his stuff i believe some was my great gandmothers family from other wars fought for other countrys being that there all in languages I cant read before they imigrated im guessing , medals, papers, mission things that i dont understand lots of photos etc..I know nothing and hope to gain a little more insight...thank you again for your time.. erin shevlin

    3. I have so many metals that are beautiful with different slogans some in English and some look French and some I just have no idea I would like to find out more about them so that i may pass them along to collectors etc...Im quite careless and would not want something that might be so important and was once a honor to someone just to get thrown into a junk drawer some place, I have tried to search them out online and just have gotten no where...i can describe them I have some info that was stuck on little papers on the back but they have come off and i have no idea which metal goes with the little papers, there quite old...also found a Cantine money from germanys ss Bucconwald camp..excuse the typos...As stated im clueless about these items.. I can upload pictures but there are just so many , i dont know what to do, im ready to just stick them back in the drawer, anyone can tell me how i can just find a database to describe metals and words written on them, figure this mystery out...
