I am pulling from memory here, but I recall seeing a photo of a railroad official with a medal bar like this-two different state Ls medals and a Centennial and maybe a KHK. In those days they seem to have worn all their medals together in uniform, so somebody who served in the Wurt. army from say 1895-1904 and then went back in @ 1914 (into a Prussian or imperial unit) and was out in 1920 may have had this bar.
thanx very much. i hadnt considered that

Man..... it used to be musicians were down at the edgewater in doing things that resulted in the mudshark song on the Frank Zappa album.... now they spend their time buying Imperial Medal bars !!!!Whatever happened to "Drugs, sex, rock and roll!... Drugs, sex, rock and roll...." !?!?!?!
Sex Drugs and Rock and Roll has become Metamucil, Medal bars and Viagra

I don't usually collect loose medals, but i felt this Hamburg Cross needed a good home

This Oldenburg bar isa bit more 'salty' than i usually prefer, but it really spoke to me. I am in the minority as i really like the raw unfinished backing on the ribbon mount

My band has been gigging a bit more than usual,so of course that means more money to spend on Imperial Medal Bars.
I love the condition of this Braunschwieg bar
