i'm weird, i admit it: many times the reverse of a bar is a big selling point for me .

I really like how the Hindy cross was attached in a rather home made fashion,gives the bar a very personal touch

this Lippe bar arrived this week, i found it interesting the paint has come off the EK2 in a couple of places, i like the effect

Thanks Rick and Scott. Rick, the last medal on the elder bar is a Barfuss medal. All the medals on this bar are of superior quality and the construction is nice and tight. The Saxon Honor Cross is a nice, fire gilt over bronze I believe.

Scott, Dion turns up some good stuff. He has opened an Imperial section on his site now.

you are right, he really does have some nice imperial items. i have a Lippe bar winging its way to me from him as we speak

SWEEEET bar, i love the 'been there' look,and the reverse is my favourite type: raw and unfinished

I like the Hindenburg Cross because then you at least know the guy did not die tragically young in 1928 or whenever.

Also, being somewhat rigid in outlook the unofficial stuff always makes the Inner Feldwebel in me shudder!

i guess the James Dean rebel in me is drawn to the 'anything goes' attitude of the Weimar, because its so different from the usual rigidity of the Imperial and TR eras.

This bar came in last week and i really like the Weimar awards and the fact that it dosent have an Ehrenkreuz.( no disrespect intended to that medal at all, i simply prefer bars without it) The EK is marked,but i cant decipher it
