I need to second the comment by Claudius.
That is one unique, and rare peice of history.
Though I am not a collector in this area these outlying German colonies are very fascinating.
Great piece!

Very nice grouping!!!!
I'm a big fan of the members of the Flak branch and complete groups with matching history are really interesting to view.
THanks for showing.
Cheers

Thanks so much for your response and the excellent information!!! One other question would you happen to have the dates the awards were awarded and the timeframe for his service with Feld Art. Rgt. 19?
WW1 is not my area of collecting so I am completely w/o reference material.
The awards in particular were something I really wanted to find so this is very helpful/valuable.
Kind regards
Jeremy

Does anyone have information on a WW1 soldier presumambly an officer, Kurt Griepenkerl?
WW1 Units, awards, etc..
I have him serving in WW2 as an Oberst in the Luftwaffe and seen wearing a WW1 EK1 in a photo but have no information of his service prior to the outbreak of WW2.

Great Thread!
Just out of curiousity is anyone on this thread compiling where we are relative to the 1785+ LW KC winners? Obviously we have a way to go but I am wondering if at some point this thread needs to be broken down into smaller subsets i.e. Jagdflieger, Kampfflieger, Flak, Fallschirmjager, FD, Transportflieger etc., etc.?
Keep them coming.
Regards
Jeremy
