Here is my Naval judicial shoulder board for a Kriegsgericht Korvettenkapit?n. The underlay is crimson (as mentioned on page 152 Vol. 1 Angolia "die Kriegsmarine"). It also has the Naval gold sword unique to the KM.

I finally found several photos of U-390 Kommandant Oblt. Heinz Geissler for sale on eBay and managed to purchase a couple of them. So here are two shots of the man who once wore the white tunic which I now own.

Hello!
I wonder why the propeller is so big on left Narvik shields.
All the best
Nesredep
Good question, Nesredep. I am no shield expert, but I believe that the shield on the left is cupal. I had posted this shield on WAF requesting comments, and the few that I received were generally positive regarding authenticity. However, I don't have much more information on the shield.
Best Regards,
Erik

U-Boat card set

Next game is one of the popular "Quartett" series (I also have the "St?dte-Quartett" game which features cities). "Wehrmachts-Quartett Kriegsmarine" features KM vessels in groupings of 4. In addition to the U-Boat and S-Boat set pictured, there are groups of 4 for "Panzerschiff", "Kreuzer", "Zerst?rer", and "K?stenbatterie".
Here is the game cover

Here are a couple of Third Reich games from my collection.
The first is an early, EARLY, precursor to Silent Hunter - back when computers were in the conning tower to facilitate torpedo settings. "Wir Fahren Gegen Engeland" is a U-Boat board game. Game pieces include 3 U-Boats and 3 German airplanes as well as cards depicting English ships.

Possibly U-858
Here is as good a close-up as I could get on this group of U-858 crewmen wearing the cap badge. Looks like everyone had a tradition badge attached to their cap...

Possibly U-858
Another great tradition badge, Fran?ois! I have a grouping from a U.S. sailor on the destroyer Escort USS Pillsbury who participated in U-858's surrender (as well as the U-505 capture and the sinking of U-515). Here is link to my posting of this group with photos and newspaper clippings of U-858's surrender. http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=22631
Here are some pictures of the tradition badge in wear from my grouping. The first is a detail shot (sorry it's blurry - that is how the photo is) with the U-858 badge and another tradition badge (perhaps U-154 or U-554)

This is one of the few photos I've been able to find of ObLtzS Geissler - sorry for the resolution.
Interesting that today U-390 seems to be a wreck dive site. I found this video on youtube... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J99jViHaDUE...feature=related

White tunic belonging to U-390 Kommandant ObLtzS Heinz Geissler. Lt Geissler was KIA July 5, 1944 when his boat was sunk in the English Channel. I purchased this from Michel several years ago, so you KNOW it's the real thing.
