Thank You Guy again!
What was the difference between Army and the Garde Civique officer uniform? They wore different insignias? As far as I can, the other ranks of the Garde Civique was only partially uniformed...

Belgian Grenadier Lt. Colonel. Dedicated in 1898 form colonel M. to quartermaster capt. B on french language (I can't read the names).
His medals in bigger size:
1. Order of Leopold Knight's Cross civilian division
2. Civic Decoration for long and distinguished service in the administration
It seems both medal is civilian...any idea for the reason?

Hi for everyone!
It's a ribbon from an Estonian sailor cap with the name of interwar period destroyer Vambola (picture from estonian wiki).
In the Hungarian Military Museum is an Estonian sailor cap from the same ship with little diference: the ship's name spelled Wambola...Does anyone know what could be the reason? (I saw an English book the same spelling.)
My another question: What does it mean the M.R. abbrevation?
Thanks

Hi!
I found the Wehrpass's owner in the 1909 Schematismus: his name is Aurel Gimbosia and he was only Fänrich (senior officer aspirant) in the 51. Infantry Regiment. He has only one austrian medal at this time, a 1908 Jubilee Cross for Armed Forces.
The man on the photorgraps seems an artillery officer (and general on the last one).

From middel to the right
Gold medal order of Leopold II, Victory Medal, Commémoration medal 1914-1918, the last one probebly the Decoration Militaire for long service, and I think it is a Adjudant (NCO) and not a 2nd Lt, otherwise he wold have other medals for long service
