I will try to get pics. I just added 2 WW2 era officers covers. Dress blues cover is Meyers with original tissue inside. The Alphas cover is NOS also and made by Lancaster. Picked up 3 more EGAs as well.  I still owe pics of the pin back.

Standard m-38 belt, canteen and a Carlisle bandage. If the tin is red it is earlier. Looks like m-7 bayonet very common items over all. This looks to be in better than average condition.

It is an officers cap badge. I will get a couple more pics from the sides.

I cannot add much to this. Like you, I have a ways wondered how a 1 star general is called a Brigadier general...

Here's what I learned: the wings so not have berries near the shield. This makes them an older variant.

Sad news about this. He spray painted it with copper paint... It looks aweful to me now. I was going to try to buy it.

The purple heart was instituted by George Washington during the Revolution. For merit on the battlefield. I do not really know more than this. I believe this is the reason for his bust on the modern design.To preface Paul's earlier post.

Hello, I performed a couple basic searches, not much to report back.

The material is chalk or plaster, with a nice bronze paint. It is crossed rifles with a 6. I am thinking Span Am war.

What is more appropriate as a description brigade, division or batallion?

Hi Rogi, admittedly I smiled after reading your reply. I don't think it is a mass produced item because of the detail. The wrap around the shoulder is the American flag. Hopefully this will spark a Nice discussion.
