Greetings,
I have made my very first British WW1 Victory medal acquisition. What I didn't know is that they are all numbered and named. I haven't a clue where to start looking for information, so I am kindly asking for your assistance. It is numbered named and has C.F.C after the name. Any insight is immensely appreciated.
Kindest regards... George

I have to share this. Hopefully thus proves to be interesting. The back of th these photos list Generals the one here is Gen. Kiukaid. I am not 100% tat I have transcribed the name accurately. I hope to add to this soon.

1917 inscribed on the back of the rifle expert badge. Not sure how common that was. Anybody know if it was common?

My last few posts of items that I have found weren't very interesting. This grouping is all gear. But I will be speaking with the son this week. I will definately need assistance with the ensuing research. I want to put together a shadow box of medals and ribbons and give it to the son. If there is any interest in seeing the seabag let me know i will add pics of the tactical unit markings. I hope to learn and share from this with the forum.
I guess I should try to obtain his serial number and DOB, would anything else be helpful for researching?
Many thanks.

Jostens wings
in United States of America

These look good to me. If the clutch posts are short, where the clutches almost touch the back of the wing that is a good indication of earlier wings. Also the solder looks like a puddle around the base of the posts also another good indicator of earlier construction.
