Look different, don't they ;)

If patina is original then it's not a copy, but a genuine order.
What if it's 40 years old fake? ;)

Simply try to sell it Vic
This is always the best test.
Regards,
Nick
THIS IS THE ONLY TEST, if you can't make right conclusion. Well said Nick.

Nick, these are some good finds. I don't like #82's reverse, the surface looks very ruff and artificially aged, but you can always test your patina in a lab and get the best result. #9 gives me creeps, this thing is a mystery! My question is - when both these pictures were taken? I might have a theory.
I would love to buy that copy with the price of a copy. The patina is original.

Out of all the orders posted, I only like SN#86, 109, and the one from Kutsenko book.

You shouldn't believe everything people tell you, Mogul... This one too is not what it purports to be.
Yes, numismatists know everything about faleristic items...
Guys, we are not going to change his mind. If he agrees, then his whole collection becomes fake. I bet Mogul bought most of this from one dishonest dealer, who took him to cleaners. These kind of things happen a lot to a novice collectors. You trust someone, and he stuffs you with all these fakes. YOU CAN ONLY TRUST YOUR OWN EYES!!! LEARN THE SUBJECT. IT'S YOUR OWN MONEY AT RISK.

That's the best quality I can produce. Trouble is, you are looking in a wrong direction, that's why you don't find things like these.
You are right. I only collect original awards.

Everything is in the eye of beholder
As I said before I posted all these materials as additional food for thought to my dear colleagues
Nothing more - nothing less.
Cheers,
Nick
Nick,
Mogul is not looking for the eye opener. He is happy in his own world. Let him be.

PS: Suvorov 2 class is fake.

Can you try camera?

Very nice. Can you show reverses?

Most of these were converted to screwbacks. It's impossible to find one with no damage to the top ray. If you get me better pictures, I'll be able to give you an answer with 100% certanty.

I'm going to repeat myself. The connecting ring is too fat, the serial number is stamped too deep, and the plate that holds the red fabrique is definetely a fake (прижимная пластина).

They take an original Servise to the Motherland 3rd class, and make 1st class out of it by adding gold plating and fake serial number.

You need to value the opinion of few individuals. There are few people on Russian speaking forums that know what they are talking about, but only few people. I've been collecting for 13 years. I know what I'm talking about.

Mogul, the purpose of the fakers is to fool collectors. That's why the fakes look like original. I'm the expert in this field. If you want to send me better pictures on olezha11@aol.com, I'll be able to help you. Or, you can try to ask on Russian speacking forums.
