O Ho! All's fair, eh?
All right, then... straight to you from the "Big Bang," one meteorite from a ga-zillion years BC.
(I dug this myself from a known meteor crater in Charlotte, NC, about 35 years ago. There is a K-mart now sitting atop the fill.)

Shell base stampings. Looks like a 37mm anti-tank shell, to me. Opinions?

Inscribed by a vet: ""Dieulouard." I believe this region was within the AEF's field of operations?

This weekend, I'll pull out my Persian/Luristan spear tip from 1000 BC and post up a better pic or two...

Yes, Weitze had it for some time. I have been wanting it for awhile and finally took the plunge. Expensive little sucker. I agree that the paint job looks like a re-do. There is a bit of fuzz caught in one of the arms (not in itself telling) and the reverse looks... "scoured."

Weitze has a box of these for sale on his site.
HAD a box for sale...
There were 37 pieces in the box; I bought the box and six of them. Perhaps over the next several months I'll get more of the clusters to add to their brothers.
I can't answer the previous question. I would say the manufacturer had two different prong-types on hand, to fit different needs. But the obverses are too different...

For your enjoyment. Two CD800's, a couple enamelled miniatures, a mounted 1870 and prinzen w/25yr oaks, a stickpin w/spange, 1813 prinzen, a nichtkaempfer ribbon setup, two spange (one w/scalloped edge), a Schinkelform, a wide-frame and a "round 3."

More details. I'm told "around 1820 construction." Comments, if any?

25mm across the arms.

About the size of a US nickel.
But what is its significance, beyond the obvious? Any help will be appreciated.

Carton lid. Enjoy, and thanks for looking.

Two different mounting systems and subtle differences to the obverses.

Here is what's inside! I'm told these cartons held 50; seven remain, if you count the one stuck to the carton lid.
