I'm trying to find out a little bit more about my grandfather activity in ww1. Unfortunately the only information I have are these photos -https://www.flickr.com/photos/plassen/sets/72157645934472791/ . He was born in Peterwalde, Osterode, East Prussia in 1899. Doing some loose math I assume he was drafted in 1916 and based on his birth location, I guess he joined some unit in the Infanterie-Regiment v. Grolman (1 Posensches) Nr. 18.
Some of the fellow forum members might have access to the Werner Meyer book, so I was wondering if you could provide any help regarding this for which I would be very much appreciated
