Hi,
I had a look with a magnifier directly on the pics and I can't see nothing convincing. I'll make close up and post them here. I do think it is just an optic illusion.

It is a Azul Division member grouping; he participated to the spanish civil war and then to the campaign against Russia.

A member of the "Deutschland" during the parade in Berlin. He certainly participated to the attack of the "Deutschland" during the spanish war and won the SC with swords

I would like to update this thread about this scarce and interesting decoration. As I said, the german recipients list is not complete and no one knows the exact number of "Medalla Militar" awarded to german LC members. I propose that we share pictures showing this medal clearly worn only by Germans (full medal or ribbon bar, medal bar, soldbuch/wehrpass entry, documents, etc..) in order to list the names.
I begin with the 3 commanders:
Hugo Speerle,

original IMO.

Indeed - I also found these three ribbon bars in my photo archive (again, I don't recall who these belong to). Both are unusual to say the least ...
I don't think these 2 last one original. There are to sell on Militariaweb, and I guess them newly made bars, may be with original ribbons, but it is not even sure.

In my photo archives, I found this plausable 3-award combination: Red Military Cross, Campaign Medal, Wounded Medal (I don't recall who's medal bar this is)...
Yes, this bar is good. When I was talking about 3 decorations, it was fo the Medalla Militar, cruz de guerra, cruz roja/blanca, and medalla de la campana. The combination of the 3 first one is at least scarce.

Hi Micha,
Sorry but he is not Buchholz but a friend of him who was in the same unit, may be same crew (Pedro1).
Here is a picture showing Buchholz in the middle, with the friend on left, both wearing the "Medalla Militar".
