    1. Came across this the other day and am assuming it is wrong. I believe the NOK document had only Hitlers signature and did not have Meissners ?

      Hello,

I don't like it too. I can't know about the paper but check it. The signature ink looks too blue. The date do not match with the other known originals I have in my files.

    2. Sorry to be late , but I answer you on WAF.

Yes, this cross has been awarded after the war and I think (to be confirmed) still is. the manufacture is not the same. The cross I shown on WAF is just a sample. other do exist, with different attach systems.

The cross you shown looks good to me, thus the case . I know some period pics showing Richthofen awarding the cross to some LC members. the cross are in case , but it is impossible to determine the datas of the cases. May be spanish members could help you (us) on this award.

    3. Thanks for your explanation

It is not in the use of the germans to wear the full decorations in every circumstances, and for sure they do not realized the importance of that decoration !

    4. Hello Panzerpionier, and welcome to the forum .

Are you talking about the silver medal ? Indeed , I saw it the first time few years ago on WAF. But I was absolutly not interested by it before, thus I can't say if it is new on the market or not. Do you mean this medal a new created copy ?

Concerning the enameled one, it was for sure awarded to the germans in this configuration. Here is a newspaper dated from 10 (?) juli 1939, showing the medal awarded to an officer who died in Spain.

    5. Members of the LC worn several kind of headgears, of which some very odds. Lw ground units , Panzer and signal unit, worn in very few number a kind of "Australian" form hat. Many someone know the explanation.

the first pic is a member of the Panzergruppe Drohne, pictured early (1936-1937)

    6. Couldn't find the pic of the back on my pc so you can use this link to my web-site:

      Thanks Rich,

the cross itself looks OK to me and shows the same details as the known one piece bronze variant. the silver cross without sword are scarce, so I never saw this variant in silver. Good stuff in my opinion !

    7. Fine sample of the "Medalla de la campa?a". It have been attributed to all the members who made a turn in Spain. This one is for combattant personnel (black stripes), Non combattant received ( according to the regulations) the same with green stripes.

The manufacturer "Egana" is the most known.
