Will there be a medal that those who helped in the logistics chain for Ukraine, but didn't actually enter the country would qualify for? I helped bring humanitarian aid from Western Europe as far as Warsaw as a civilian volunteer and it'd be interesting to know if I qualify for anything!

It depends on the organization you worked for. They can ask for an award from the state or a public organization. Foreigners can receive the "For the Defense of Ukraine" medal.

Just reading the tread and I have learned lots from it.

I have the pin back badge or medal which I believe is for a post WW1 association of winner of the Autro-Hungarian bravery medal.  It is a well made item 50mm tall and 20 grammes. Note the centre medallion is a stylised version of the triangular ribbon found on the medal  The pin is not of the quality one would expect of an item to be worn on uniform.

I am correct in my assumption that this is for civilian wear?

Thank you... I try to record everything that looks like a medal because in the future the information as to what's official and what's not may be unavailable.

As for the one you show above, I found something almost identical that was named Medal "Patriot of Independent Ukraine" - Медаль «Патріот Незалежної України»

Maybe more tomorrow, dearly beloved has got the beer out!

    4. Medal "For Loyalty to the People of Ukraine" (За вірність народу України). Initially, it was a commercial medal (photo 1), but later on June 18, 2015, the Poltava Regional Council made it its own, but in two degrees (photo 3). At the beginning of 2017, the design of the award was revised and it became a cross in two degrees (photo 4).

I have just found a whole stack of completely unofficial medals - do you lot want images of them as well? Lots of these turn up with a blank award document so if you fancy some 'bling' you can buy one and fill it out to yourself!

Trying to match up 'official' ones - which I class as awards made by state, president, government departments, cities/regions, and the church - with documents establishing them.

If you have better images of these medals you can add it. As for buying, I don't collect it I just save information for history and another collectors, my theme is WWI for all countries that's enough for me.

Your division into sections is correct, but some departments or regions use commercial awards or establish their own, which are not completely official, all shut one’s eyes to it, so sometimes the situation reaches absurdity. It can break the brain ?

Bless you for all these riches.... but how official are these? Most seem to be from veterans' organisations or produced by medal/badge manufacturers for sale. They need documenting, to be sure, but it's best to be clear what they are, more souvenir than award.

You'll keep me busy for weeks... along with all the unofficial 'awards' I've discovered while trying to research Ukrainian orders, decorations and medals!

But don't stop... this is fantastic!

Official are only president medals, all the rest are medals of veterans' or citizens' organizations. Some organizations establish their own awards, some use commercial ones made by manufacturers for sale. There are many commercial badges often they are used very rarely, but they do exist. There are also awards of local administrations of regions or cities, usually they are quite official because the law allows them to do so. Here are the provisions on the establishment of the city award "Courage and Bravery" (Мужність і Відвага) from the administration of the city of Khmelnytskyi: https://khm.gov.ua/uk/content/pro-zasnuvannya-pochesnoyi-vidznaky-miskoyi-gromady-muzhnist-i-vidvaga-ta-zatverdzhennya

    7. When the two presidential medals for participation in the anti-terrorist operation were established, there was also a draft of the third "ATO Volunteer" medal for volunteer formations that did not belong to any departments - the army or the police, in fact, partisan units or militias. Later, the medal for volunteers "ATO Volunteer" (Доброволець АТО) was founded by the non-governmental organization "Kraina" (Country).

    8. Badges of the veteran organization "For the capture of Savur-Mohyla" (За взяття Савур-Могили) and "For the defense of Savur-Mohyla" (За оборону Савур-Могили). Savur-Mohyla is a strategic height in the Donetsk region near the Russian border, for which fierce battles were fought. During the Second World War, heavy battles also took place there, in memory of this there was a memorial complex.
