Hi all, as a Retired member of the US Army, I have no time for these people what so ever!!! I've known a few like him (not as bad) in my 23 years in the army and they should get the max fine/sentence IMHO.
Take care!

Hi all, just wanted to get some opinions/facts on what where the highest Bravery awards given to NCO's and men of the various German states during or prior to WWI. Just the name of the award will be fine, unless you care to get into detail.
Thanks so much as always!!!!

Hi all, can anyone one tell me something about this award? I've heard that this was Lippes highest bravery decoration, true or not? I think its a very attractive medal.

Hi, I have a book entitled "Hitlers Legions" it gives a make up of units and history of all the ground divisions (Heer, LFD, Para, SS and KM) While not a true OB its very well done and a very good reference (IMHO) I think you can get one on Amazon or Abebooks.
Good Luck!

Hi all, I ran across this award while looking at a book on JAAF aces. It stated it was awarded for attacking and downing B-29's. Has anyone ever heard of this award? And if so, what is the criteria for its award?
The book also stated it was the equal of a MOH or VC.
Thanks!!

Hi all, hope you can helpme out on this one. My wifes Granddad served in the 78th Div and she has his uniform tunic. He has a wound stripe and of course overseas stripe. However, on the upper left sleeve there is a red stripe (like a modern PV2). I don't believe this is a rank insignia as his discharge papers show him as a Private (not a PFC). He was in the infantry. Anyone know what the red stripe is for?
Thanks So Much!!!!!

Thanks, but the question is, is why would a CPT wear an enlisted rank (the red stripe)? As shown on
the CPT's uniform. Does not make sense.
Thanks!!
