I've never seen a HC on either his ribbon or medal bar.
If there is photos of him and a HC, would love to see them
Best Regards

Thanks Phil, I personally think he would wear it. Many high profile Nazis did wear it. I would think he'd (Himmler) would like be seen wearing it. Saying, that he also served during the war. Just my opinion.

Hey all, my son and I were discussing if Himmler would have been eligible for the Hindenburg Cross.
As he was an Officer Candidate while the war was still going on, wouldn't he be eligible for the Cross without Swords as he saw no Frontline service?
Your thoughts please.

Greg,
Congratulations, three very nice medals!
The cases are beautiful on the first two, anything on top?(some emblems etc?), The third type reminds me of the old top trump boxes! 🫠

Thanks for the kind words! Nothing on the cover, just plain boxes.
Stay well

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone could provide a list for the order of precedence of Finnish Orders, Decorations and Medals during the Winter and Continuation War's?
Many thanks as always!

Interesting thread, always learning something here! As a side note, Wilhelm II also used a combined ribbon worn in the button hole as well.

Greg, I think you will find that a crown on the war ribbon represented the HOH.
Mike
Hey Mike, the crown device was just the crown, no Swords and the pilot was an NCO.
The crown he wore on the ribbon was of course contrary to regulations and unofficial.
Best,
Greg

Short answer yes. GMMC, was worn on the "war ribbon" same as the EK II. There is a picture of a pilot (can't remember his name) the wearing a crown device on the war ribbon, representing the GMMC in the 2d button hole.
Best,
Greg
