Good morning, gents.
I have this large eagle to Show you and to ,hopefully , find out what it is for and where it would have been mounted etc..
Any ideas gents?
Pictured with it is a cuff title, this should give you an idea to the size of this thing.
All comments welcome!
Thanks!

Hi Dond,
Thanks for posting the pic, i had no idea that these were marked as to their silver content.
I guess now that mine is the type that rick was talking about...or did they not nessesarily mark all the silver ones??
Thanking you for your help!
Cheers,
Paul

I love that pic of the young fella!
Looking at his tie and the band with swaz it made me wonder if this little piece of cloth with swaz that i picked up recently, is for that very purpose!
Interesting to say the least....
Can anyone confirm this...or is it for something else??
I also picked up a Silk handkercheif, ( well thats what size it is!) which is in the form of the Nazi flag period i am sure but no markings ( has a couple of moth holes)
Enclosed is the pic of the Wee tie band.
Thanks Gents!

Thanks Rick!
Oh! so there were many units on the eastern front ...Hmmm, i was led to believe that this bar was unusual due to the fact that there was two bravery decorations from different states.
Yes the Hesse Silver bravery medal is Silver with Fur Tapfurkeit on the reverse
The Karl of Austria medal has Fortitvdini on its reverse and yes the colour is deep.
Where can i possibly veiw one of these documents you mention??
Thankyou for your time!
Best regards
Paul

Hello Gents,
I have a new medalbar which has created interest as to where this particular NCO would have served...as it is unusual to see Hessan and Austrian bravery awards on one bar...
Comments appreciated also any info on the particular unit he served in.
Thanking you in advance!

Hello Gents,
I have the opportunity to purchase this Cuff title.
Now what are the signs of faking should i be looking for? and how much are these worth if genuine?
I will ask for a pic of the rear and the cuff title opened out to its full length
Comments Please...
