David,
It had been too long since I have added any crosses to my collection. It was a welcome treat yesterday to open up my Imperial Case and my TR case to add a couple more! I think I'm going to have to ask Frontkampfer for an application to become a Member of his EK Hunting Club.
Regards,
Joel
Hello Joel ! Hello my friend !
It's a real pleasure to see your post !
Don't worry man, you're a real Ek's hunter and a full member of the Eisernes Kreuz Hunting Club (for the moment just two members !!
and perharps three with Danny70 for his help
)
So good hunt and take care !
Collecting is my business, and my business is good !
All the best,

Yes, but some good ones are non magnetic, are sometimes 1 piece and not all are marked on the ring. Many are unmarked. Fortunatley, 1914 EK2s are a fairly safe area to collect that has not been heavily hit with fakes.
Hello Steve !
Yeah, you're right but I think when somebody start a n iron cross collection thse three points are very impotant....After with some experience !!!!!!!
PS : Your thread is crazy too !!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Andreas !
Well, for beginners three rules to respect :
- magnetic cross (for iron core)
- build in three parts
- and a code with letters or numbers, a manufacture mark in fact, in suspension ring
It's a little more difficult in reality but if you start a collection you need to follow these rules and you'll be protected against fakes !!
Have a nice day,
All the best,
Fkr

Hello maniacs !
You can find this little book on ebay Germany sometimes for a reasonable price !
It's a re-printed book about iron cross history and the different types and manufacture of the Iron Cross (34 p. with pics).
But you've to read this history in Gothic !!!! Very hard ! Good luck !!
Best regards boys,

Windhoek is the capital of Namibia, formerly Deutsch-Sued-West, whereas von Lettow-Vorbeck was leading troops in Deutsch-Ost, now Tanzania. Ludicrous.
