Yes they did, I am looking for those with the "16" on them, I am also missing other Waffenfarbes such as transportation etc. So anyone have any 16.Pz.Div. boards I am interested in them, also any Pionier boards.
Thanks Steve

When a Infantry division became a Panzer Division or if it was a panzer Division, the Pioniers were motorized and usually the 3./Kompanie was armored, some of them had tanks but most had SPW's.
Pz.Pi.Btl. 16 was unique they had tanks all the way up to the Pz.IV.

The 16.Pz.Div. personnel wore all the various waffenfarbes, it is a unit I collect. The Pionier Bataillon wore black, and the Pionier that wore the black or gray wrapper either used black or the twist or fleck piping.

Here is a nice early 1925 dated Pionier cap I just got, has the later insignia on it, obviously the guy wanted to wear it, this is a direct vet purchase from a friend, so it has not been messed with.

Chris, the PB16 LT. sounds nice, I am looking for ANYTHING pertaing to Pionier / Panzer-Pioniere Bataillon 16. I also collect 16. Panzer-Division.
Here is another pair of boards from the 16th, from Infantry-Regiment 79, later Pz.Gren.79. One of them has a red cord around it.
Steve
P.S. I still like those 55's!
Sorry for some reason it will not let me upload the picture,
Steve
