Rick,
What a good start in the year!
It shows that there is still much work to be done, even almost 100 years after WWI.
To make it short: great work brings great finds!
(don't you read "mit besonderem Erfolg (u.?) erwiesener Tapferkeit"?)

Chip:
George Siebert is listed in the KFAC membership list.
Siebert, George. Hanau, Leipziger Str. 61 Cand.chem.,Beigetr 4.8.14
How does the Cand. chem. translate?
Will you post this pic?
Vic
Vic,
a Candidatus refers to an advanced student, who is about to take his final exams or is taking them. Some universities already gave them this name when they were already as far as half of the studies.
chem. is for chemistry

Rick,
It was already listed in Andr? H?sken's 1999 edition of his "Katalog der Orden und Ehrenzeichen des Deutschen Reiches 1?871-1945" under the # 21.112 "Erinnerungsplakette" of the city of W?rzburg, with a DM price the most shameless dealer would have dreamt to achieve.
Thanks fo the glorious colour, it looks great

This one is supposedly: "Adler des Tiroler Sturmzuges; Freikorps Oberland"
Jan
This is only a nice Tirol tinnie, for patriots and/or tourists

Don't you mean a... monomania?

Chris,
eye and purse... but as it is only postwar, pre-nazi, freikorps and wehrwolf-free, you should be able to get it for a very reasonable price. Good luck.
I think you'll be able to find it in Heering / H?sken's book on insignia.

Frontk?mpferbund... after WWI (when exactly?)
You'll find them in different versions: black & white for Prussia, blue & white for Bavaria, green & white for Saxony...
