Hello Mathew, sorry for the late response but I am something of a newbie when it comes to forums and I had thought that no one had replied. He said that the back of the badge was shiny and that that indicates a fake along with it having the wrong pin and it being badly soldered. All of which I thought was complete nonsense but what with this chap owning a site and claiming to have 50 years in the business, it sort of got into my head. Whatever he thought at the time, I am now quite happy to stick with my guns and consider it an original. He had bought it of me originally so perhaps it was buyers regret, I don’t know?

Hello all, this is my second post as my first got no response, probably because of where I placed it. I’m just after a little advice on whether or not this is a fake badge. I believe it to be the real deal but the person I sold it too claims it to be a fake and wants a refund. I’ve agreed to a refund but I would like to know who was right just for piece of mind. Many thanks in advance.

Hi.
First time commenting on this site so please forgive me if I’ve posted in the wrong place. I was told that badges with this particular coating were reproductions and was wondering what your take was on this. I recently sold the exact same badge and was told it wasn’t original. Anyway I didn’t believe him but if you guys can shine any light on this I would be most grateful. The photos are of my badge which apparently is a fake.

Yes thank you, that would make sense. For the life of me I couldn’t think what it was for. I would imagine it’s quite a rare badge? We’re there any similar ones made do you know?
