Hi, All of Chiang Kai Shek's medals and decorations, both Chinese and Foreign are on display at the Chiang Kai Shek memorial hall in Taipei. It's a Laos Order of Civic Merit , Knights class. Ribbon is hard to come by, but you can pick up medals of this class complete with ribbon fairly easily in Laos or Thailand. It was given for meritorious or courageous deeds by civil servants or military officers.

Agreed, local antique dealers are seldom a good barrometer.

Any idea if there is a way to get ribbom for these?

Look on French Ebay under Ruban or Coupe Ruban, this award was quite commonly given to French officers, so the ribbons come up from time to time. It's a red 6mm yellow 25mm red 6mm ribbon for both classes.
