Thanks, Rick. I'll be sure to post the results when they arrive.

The newest addition to my modest but growing collection, number 896316, which was awarded 1944. Research is pending.

Knowing my interest in these interesting hybrids, I just had to pick this one up for my collection. It just came in and I thought to share it with my fellow collectors.
Any idea of the manufacturer? Given the luster of the finish I was thinking possibly Wachtler & L?nge, or Deumer. . .

Another example, which I initially thought was a Gro?mann. . .

This example has a magnetic core, and the copper coating you mentioned. . .

Here are a couple of my 1951 awarded Orders of the Red Star, numbers 2946816 and 2993287. They have flared edges, and an 8 mm wide mint mark with "thick" characters. I am told these were manufactured in 1950-51 by the Moscow Mint, and are an uncommon sub-variation with the total number issued being less than 8000.
Here is 2946816. . .

No, Rick, these were the only documents and awards I received for these gentlemen; no other campaign paperwork was available.
Thank you for your insights. These go on my ever growing list of awards to be researched. . .

The first is for #3043537 which was awarded in 1952. I'll start with the stars and then post the cover and relevant inside pages of their award books. I would appreciate any help with the names and any other information you can glean from my pictures. Thank you for looking!

Thanks for your kind words, Gerd, but the credit goes to David Schwind from whom I purchased this Order of the Red Star and its supporting documentation. I simply had my friend Olga, whose father was a Colonel in the Red Army, supply me with the translation.
All the documentation I have for this award has been posted I'm afraid. . .

I also like the part about giving 150 to 160% in his job.
I wonder if this "late" award was meant to make up for something.

Yes, Rick, it is. I apologize. I should have said something when I did that. I thought it might make it easier for others to view.
