Respectfully, I disagree.  Although there were approximately twice as many Orders of the Red Banner of Labor (~1,200,000) as Orders of the Red Banner (~581,000) awarded, the Red Banner of Labor, which was established as the civilian counterpart to the military/long service Order of the Red Banner, remained the highest labor award bestowed.  Only the Hero of Socialist Labor/Order of Lenin and Order of the October Revolution were preeminent, political considerations notwithstanding.

I was told is that he was a born in the Lviv region in Western Ukraine, but later moved to Nizhnevartovsk, a town in Siberia famous for oil production. As he got older, and due to health issues, he had to move back to his native region.

Yes, and there were four variants of these documents.  Here is an earlier serial numbered document variant.  There are two variants of this medal, as above, and a post-Soviet Variant.  Instead of "CCCP' on the reverse, it is marked "РОССИЯ".

Thought you might be interested in this. It is from the archive and documents your award. Unfortunately there are two with the same name and year of birth, from the same region, so I have no way of determining which one he is. One was awarded a Bravery Medal, a Rifleman in the 6th Squad of the 288th "Stalingrad" Rifle (Infantry) Regiment, 181st "Stalingrad" Red Banner, Order of Lenin & Suvorov, 2nd Class, Rifle (Infantry) Division, the other was a Wagon Driver in the 930th Independent Battalion, Communication Corps, 48th Rifle (Infantry) Division. The latter, or second one, was initially recommended for a Bravery Medal, but was subsequently downgraded to a Combat Service Medal.
 

You're welcome, Paul.  I think the documents are much more rare.  There were, as I understand it, more medals manufactured than needed or, in fact, awarded, thereby making the award books much more rare.

Short description of personal combat feat or accomplishment

She has been a participant of offensive operations from the Mius river to the enemy fortified area on the Molochnei river. Continuously situated in the fighting formations of attacking small units, Sniper Artemova in August and September 1942 alone had to her record two destroyed enemy soldier and officers.

In fighting for Kulikovo, Pesmanii, and Voroshilovskii she exhibited examples of personal boldness and bravery, motivating soldiers to the attack by her examples. In the engagement for Voroshilovskii she was wounded the first time, but did not abandon her post. Upon accomplishment of her combat mission she received her second wound near Zelenii Lug.

She is a true patriot of her Motherland, and frontline soldier-young lady Artemova is deserving of the Order of the Red Star.

Short description of personal combat feat or accomplishment

Master Sergeant K.K. Timofeev excelled in fighting for the hilltop near “Lasti-Koloniya.” While accomplishing his combat mission as a member of Armored Train #703 he was subjected to intense enemy artillery shelling, resulting in the locomotive being penetrated by shrapnel in four places. As a member of the locomotive crew Master Sergeant Timofeev, sensing the danger, shoved four wooden plugs in the holes, allowing the train to move out from under the artillery shelling. By his actions Master Sergeant Timofeev saved the locomotive and its personnel.

For displayed resourcefulness and bravery he is deserving of the Order of the Red Star.
