I have his gun and holster a P35 (FN Browning High Power, made in occupied Austria, Waffen stamped). The firearm was obtained from the US Service Member who brought it back to the USA in 1944. Of course there is a big story behind this.

Surrender Pistol owned by Generalmajor Heinrich-Hermann von Hulsen
in Germany: Imperial: The Orders, Decorations and Medals of The Imperial German States

Some decades ago I acquired a service pistol previously held by Generalmajor Heinrich-Hermann von Hulsen when he was captured in WWII c1943.
The U.S. service member that brought it back to the USA in 1944 was a cartographer stationed in that theater of combat. I interviewed this service member who was 89 years old at the time and got big story behind how he came about the pistol. I felt the story was believable because it was simple and very humerus. Some provenance was provided as well supporting his story. The pistol is a FN Browning 9mm Hi-Power, Waffen stamped in occupied Austria. It has the typical war finish of the time. 15 years ago I cleaned it, took it out to the range and found that it functioned as new. Just found it again while beginning to liquidate my collection. I will be sending the pistol off with some of my other items to be sold at auction in the future.
