Hi Frank,
You're right... Boring here..
Here is what I can propose :
* When someone asks a question :
* Maximum of 2 days to give 1 hint. So 1 new hint every 2 days. After 1 week, the answer has to be given, and if not, the closest member (should be quite clear, even if not scientific..) has the right to ask for a new challenge.
* When someone has answered a question (has won):
* Now, it is after 2 (and not 3) days that the last winner who has not asked yet for a question, and has not transferred his"right" to another Member; will allow everyone else to do ask for the next question.
What do you think ?
Cheers.
Ch.
PS : You have 2 days to answer....
Hello,
good solution. It will keep us going. The more questions the more we can learn.
Regards
Frank

Hallo Christophe,
It is a bit boring now. Perhaps you should change the rules. 3 Days to answer a ouestion, if not answered correct by that time the final hint.
If somebody answered a question 24 hrs time to confirm the answer or the first who answered the question can ask the next, even if he was not completely correct. You started the game so it is you to decide.

I think that the were prisoners. I have never seen somebody wearing a stamped field uniform. On the mentioned Uniforms there is nothing on the shoulder boards. Everybody else had CA on red boards. When I met these people the did not look very good. They wanted to have civilian clothes and something to eat.

I have found a photo of a stamp. It it.
Correct ! It is the same stamp. Exactly the same size.
Unfortunately my uniform is in an exhibition at the moment and it was to far to go there to take a photo.

In this case we know you nicked the belt
Jim
Jim,
if you would know me, you would not say that. What can you do with a single belt? At least you need Hat and jacket with it.

Hallo Marc,
Perfect and correct.
The "Berliner was run by 486 Movement Troop RCT. After further reorganisation, 486 Troop lost its independence on 30 Sept. 1971. Responsibility was passed over to Movements Troop 62 Transport and Movements SQ. Royal Corps of Transport. Further details I have to post later because I have to go on a conference until this afternoon.
Your tuirn now.
Jim,
it was a missunderstanding. The Question was : who run the train, not who nicked the Belt.
For the soldiers it was no problem to give away belts or badges. They got cigarettes and spirits. 90% of the items they got they had to give to their officers. So there was no problem for the soldier. he did not get charged. He got a new belt for the next deal. That is real life.

Dear Christian,
Unfortunately it is not the Interzonenzug.
If you read the text of this question very precisely you will find a few hints.
Good luck

Hello,
My first Soviet belt I got in 1975. For this I gave some cigarettes which I bought in NAAFI. This happened in a certain train which I had to use very often.
The train made a day round trip every day exept Christmas Days and 24 June 1948 until 12 May 1949. On the train you were not allowed to
use cameras, binoculars, leaning out of the window, throwing anything from the train. All passengers were to remain seated at all stops. All of your documents had to be complete and valid. otherwise there was trouble with the Soviets who had to check them. During this procedure I got my belt.
What was the name of the train? Which unit was responsible for running the train from September 30th 1971.

Frank

Hello,
boring weekend. I am waiting to go to work. Perhaps it has to do with the change of the climate. Every thing goes so slow.
There ia no action anywhere. Not even here
I will go downtown and get drunk.

Hello,
The picture shown on the stamp appears also on different posters which I found in Soviet camps in GDR. The Soviets produced a series of posters for Victory day. Unfortunately most of the posters had been destroyed during the times.

There is a lot more of equipment but I think that I have bored you enough. This kind of equipment had been stored in every camp in GSFG because the Soviets were afraid of an NBC attack by NATO.. Unfortunately most ofthe equipment had been destroyed before GSFG went back. I had the problem to get these things before it was too late. Unfortunately I cannot show you how dogs had been protected because I have no model of a dog. The soviets used to put dogs into NBC suits. (selfmade)( the photographs I am not allowed to use)
I think the carryots and the gasmasks for kids are a very good idea. Every hospital should have them.
Today we only have friends and no enemies.

Hello,
during my tour through different GSFG camps I got some interesting equipment. The Soviets had always been prepared for a nuclear or chemical war. So they had a lot of equipment in stock. Most of it was burned before they left.
