...this very nice SA tinnie has a really solid feel to it, even though it is hollow-backed...
...I'm very impressed with the whole design of the tinnie...the large central SA roundel, perfectly formed...with the 'hakenkreuz' arms behind....

...the crossguard is area stamped 'Mi'.....identical to the previous dagger...
...I would have liked to have posted images of a pre-1933 A.G. Erde made SA dagger (to complete the Schmalkalden hat-trick)....apparently these are fairly difficult to find....but maybe one day!

...pre-1933 solid nickel (the best kind to have!)...

...note the very light greying on the blade next to the maker's mark....nothing that detracts from what a great looking dagger this is...(in humble opinion!)

Hi,
This is a pre-1933 solid nickel SA dagger, made by Adolf V?lker in Schmalkalden.
As far as I am aware, there were three dagger makers located in Schmalkalden....but if I'm wrong about this, feel free to correct me
The three makers known to me are, Adolf V?lker, Gebr?der Heller, and A.G. Erde....
Personally I have always prefered the early daggers instead of the later period RZM marked daggers.
The lighting in this photo wasn't as good as I had planned, so it gives the impression that the scabbard is almost black (like a NSKK dagger)...it is most definitely a dark brown, compared to the lighter brown handle...

)...so here's a new SA tinnie...about the same size as the standard NSDAP membership badge...
...I'm quite chuffed with this one...anything pre-1933 is always a bonus...I like the simplistic style of this badge...

...this SA tinnie must have been hiding away at the back of someone's sock drawer...it's in great condition, the reverse has practically no signs of aging...

...here's a solid-backed piece....good bit of weight....about 52mm long, with a needle pin to reverse which itself is about 56mm long...
