Hello! Thank you again! I have Eiserneskreuz Schinkel with pocket, too. I love EK2, too. It is hard to collect good EK. I buy it from an overseas famous dealer. In Japan, I never buy it. I own some Japanese decorations. In addition, I have Greatcoat,Toucrock of Luftwaffe and Visorcap & fieldcap of Heerer,Luftwaffe.. I want to watch the collection of you. Thank you Danny!!

Just picked up this nice unmarked EK1. It's highly vaulted and has a nice look. Any ideas on the maker?

This just arrived. It's my 60th Iron Cross. I paid a bit more than normal for this one but I figured you don't see them much. It's marked L/57 clearly on the ring. This piece has a pretty unique look. The core is a matte black, and the beading almost has a golden hue to it that doesn't show as much in the pictures. It has the demensions of a TR period cross. You don't see too many L marked EK2's from either the 1914 or 1939 series, so I'm glad I got this one. Do you even see the maker L/57 that much at all? What does everyone think?

As Micha states, that is a nice wartime FA1X.

My understanding on the award boxes for these is that they were a tight fitting square box with a "Crown + FA" in a circle on the outside and the Knauer logo on the inside of the lid.

I think this particular case could have been for any item Kanuer made.

Let's wait for what others have to say though.

I am finally able to take some quick photos of the General Staff Oberst that I have been paying off the past few months. I have both the tunic and an unmarked pair of trousers, with out piping. The rich carmine waffenfarbe is not easy to bring out with this camera!!!

The tunic is HUGE and just about fits me!!

It seems to be that I've completed this maker-I've never seen another core or frame like this one so I'm shure this part of my search has come to an end!The maker mark is really clear but unfortunately I didn't get it any better on the pic-sorry!

By the way-is there a 2nd class L/53 known?

Well,I bought a new display and thought everything was fine...and then I started to pic up all the Eks here in every room....the truth began to bite-one new display is not enough! Maybe one for the imperial 1st class,one for the'39 EK1......
