I'm trying to find out a about which Royal Navy ships were present at the fall of Pekin in 1860. British battles and medals notes their presence but doesn't give a list of ships present as it does with the other clasps
The medal roll itself does not list the clasp received as far as I can see. Is there any way to work out which ships and men of the Navy and Royal Marines were present?
You can apply for his service records via the national archives, can take while though. Use the tracer card as proof of death it may speed it up a bit.
