    1. To continue in the diversity, here are some Rhodesian ones. Pre-independance (worn until 1971-72), it has a similar design to the British badge, but on dark green felt for Dress. It is to note that the Royal Rhodesia Regiment used the KRRC badges shown in post # 37.
    2. Here are the Rhodesian anodised metal WO I badges for leather wristlets. These have a smaller size than the ones worn by RSM, as shown in Post # 52. Gilt is for Corps, silver for Infantry (other than Rhodesia Regiment) and Armoured Car Regiment, black for RR (which is affiliated to the KRRC).
    3. Dress WO I, on dark green felt. This was not worn by RSM, who had a bullion embroidered badge (a miss in my collection ).
    4. I think these are US Marine Corps rather than Army. Edit : already corrected by Desertrat.
    5. Paul, this is actually the badge for WO II (for the working/combat dress). I intend to show a few examples in the appropriate thread - just have to find some free time to do the scans. Eric
    6. In answer to Mervyn's query, I have seen pictures of Australian WOs wearing rank brassards in Vietnam.
    7. Here is one Rhodesian Army, post-1970 RSM metal badge (for wristlet), aside the smaller WO1. White and black metal versions were also worn, according to unit.
    8. The original photograph of the Captain used for the above print. He is wearing the Egypt 1882-1884 Medal (with at least one clasp) and Khedive Star. I got this picture among a lot of photographs taken during the (?) Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1897. That's all for now. Eric
    9. RMLI OR Full-Dress tunic, dated 1895. The GC&LS 'undetected crime' stripes are original to the tunic (21 years as a private !).
    10. Great thread so far. Here are a few additions. RMLI glengarry badge :
    11. I am aware of titles with "1st S.A.S." (as well as "2nd S.A.S.") light blue letters on marroon background, these appeared in a couple of photographs taken in May 1944. But this is the first time I hear about titles with full designation. Interesting to say the least.
    12. Mervyn, Here is another cigarette card album from the same timeframe (1940 actually), which I think will interest you.
    13. A 1/6 figure I have recently put together : a Royal Marine Light Infantry Sergeant at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir in 1882. Parts were either modified from existing items (figure, helmet, boots, waterbottle, Martini-Henry rifle) or completly scatchbuilt (frock, Valise equipment, haversack). Eric
