SasaYU,
Interesting badge. Where would this badge have been worn on a uniform? When was it introduced and for how many years was it worn?
Regards,
Gordon
Gordon, here is what I have found out about the Guard badge:
It was instituted on November 4th 1977. on the 35th anniversary of foundation of Escort battalion of the Marshall Tito and Supreme staff of People' liberation army and partisan units of Yugoslavia ("Vrhovni stab NOV i POJ").
I am not shure about the date untill when was worn, but it was probably untill introduction of Federal Republic of Yugoslavia ina April 1992.

Yes, Gordon, it is a Presidential Guard.
But in Yugoslavia Guard units were not just a ceremonial military units. They were also elite military units.

Here is a picture of a solider wearing a guard breast badge.
I am going to investigate when it was introduced.

Valter,
as you said, this cap badge was for "field cap", which was also worn by guard units while training.
Here is a picture of guard units training in 1974.
Picture is from a book written by Petar Damjanov and Miroslav Mladenovic:

Badge was introduced on the 35th anniversary of foundation of Escort battalion. Escort battalion was founded in 1942. and lately (after the war) became a Guard. Yes it was worn only by the Guar unit.
