Gentlemen, I found lately documentation about Order of National Hero, regulation,... But unfortunately translation tools are not very useful. What does it mean exactly? On 3. October 1944 National Libaration Comittee stated: " za Orden narodnog heroja predlazu najistaknutiji borci i staresine, najistaknutiji organizatori, pioniri nase vojske koji su pali na bojnom polju, u zatvorima I logarima. First statute of this Order changed again definition to

"odlikuju borci I rukovodioci Jugoslovenske armije koji su se istakli besprimernim heroizmom u borbi protiv narodnih neprijatelja I kao takvi predstavljaju olicenje junastva, ponos I slavu nase armije, I koji su po svoijm karakternim osobinama cisti, svetli I omiljeni u armiji I narodu"

"... are to be assigned to fighters and leader's of Yugoslav army who are distinguished with their matchless heroism in fight against enemy of the people and represent personification of heroism, pride and glory of our army and who are by their caracteristic's clean, brilliant and popular in army and people"

It is a certificate that lieutenant Makutin Aleksandar Nikiforovich (Russian lieutenant ?) was awarded with Order of the partisan star III No. 2394, wich was awarded to him on the April 30^th 1945.

Certificate was issued as a temporary decree on May 5^th 1945.

Of course I can...as I said before... It is senseless that he was signing(in person) so many documents(which are counted up to thousands and more...). The signature on the subject document is called facsimile. Only the documents of more importance(for an higher rated officers-just an example) where signed in person.

Only, I wonder what are "an higher rated officers", since on Anatoly's commendation is written that it is assigned to "general-major" of JNA.

It is a cap badge for elite troops of JNA (Jugoslovenska Narodna Armija / Yugoslav People's Army).

It is not a Bosnian version.

It is in Serbian.

To be precise, in the days when there was Federal Yugoslavia and all of the states were in federation, language was called Serbo-Croatian.

This is a firefighter's medal issued in Socialist Republic of Croatia (republic in Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia), probably issued pre 1991 (but I'm not shure).

Text on AV: "VSH" (Vatrogasni savez Hrvatske - Firefighters Union of Croatia) "Za hrabrost i pozrtvovnost" (For bravery and devotion)

Text on RV: "Vatrogasna plamenica" (Firefaighter's flare) "Vatrogasni savez opcine" (Communal Firefighters Union)

As far as I know flat star does not exist.

I have one with convex star as well.

Hehehe, Soviet inscriptions ... They still use these letter and they are not Soviet. Those are not rare. It's just that there is 2 versions of that medal. Latin or Cyrillic. Thanks for the better pictures than the one I have shown.

Cyrillic letters are native letters in Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro and parts of Bosnia-Herzegovina (republic's of Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia).

In Yugoslavia Cyrillic and Latin letters were equal in public usage.

So, they are not Soviet inscriptions.

Does someone has one with Latin letters on reverse?

As far as I know, Medal for labour exist only in Cirillyc letters on reverse.
