Hi Paul,
This SA tinnie is not very rare, but SA tinnies are collected as a field of their own, (as are HJ) so some command a higher price (see Claymores)
Tinnies are rising in price, but don't get stung by paying too much for the common ones (although I guess you may not know the common ones)
You have one, only another 12.500+++ to go!!
Regards,
Pete

Nice badge, but not bakelite, which does not melt, but plastic, which does.
This maker made many plastic badges.

2nd. A Kreigsmarine tropical breast eagle. ex-Tunic but glued, by the previous owner, to something covered with emulsion paint!
There is a faint dab of it on the left wingtip.

Pete

First up. A metal army eagle for the white tunic, the owner was a knights cross winner.
(I didn't get the K & Q Knights crosss or the two cloth Dk's that came with it, or his epaulettes, or his name)

A Pilot AND a cavalryman! Very very nice.
Not a pilot Peter, an observer/gunner in Fe 2d's. A precarious job as you can see. (Photo from Wikipedia)
Many gunners in this type of aircraft racked up quite impessive scores. Much more than many pilots.

Pete

Ok Don, thanks, I had heard that as well.
I have already passed on this one. It also has a very odd catch for the pin

Pete

Yes quite a common maker also on the Seefahrt badge.
It always amuses me to see this maker as its my name.
