    1. I have read an article on these somewhere, (My memory!!!) and sort of agreee with Rick. I believe that they were used to distiguish various companies/parties in an attack so that they would know who they were supposed to be with, or something like that. Different coloured tapes or cords were used in various places on the shoulderboard, sometimes two different colours at once.

      obv. "Opfer-ring" Rev. "Gauleitung Mklbg. Lubeck. NSDAP. ges.gesch."

      I'm sure I've contributed to a thread somewhere on this badge, but old age and memory have lost it. Don can you remember.

      I believe that this badge was worn by the donation collectors. I have one other with the same front and a different area on the back viz "Gauleitung Sachsen. NSDAP. ges.gesch."

      Any others out there?
