Tought I may as well tack this on the end. This is the Spanish award for Russia.
I picked this up nearly 40 years ago, when nobody knew what they were. At least it looks like an old piece!

And one more for Marcus, the packet.

A mini, buttonhole fixing, probably Spanish made.

Here's one of mine, no maker mark, but a Deschler.

Lucky bugger, I had this on my watch list , then forgot all about it, A good price.

Glad I didn't bid against you in the end.

Hendrik. Thanks for that useful info. Does this also apply to the "Italian Badge for the WW2 Campaign in Russia "?

Also by Messrs. Lorioli of Milano, the 'Croce Commemorativa del Corpo di Spedizione Italiano di Russia' (Italian Expeditionary Corps in Russia Commemorative Cross).

I have seen this cross with an enamel finish and a painted finish, were both types issued? (Officers and Rankers?) I can't say I've liked any of the enamel type I've seen. I have two of the painted type, one with the manufacturers name and one without, also were these both issued, and what time period are we talking about?

Yes I hope to go Dave, I'll try to remember to bring it along. If not, we're close enough to arrange something. Anything interesting in Bridgnorth? Due to family problems, I've not managed to get over there for some time.

So here is another one that has avoided being listed in any of my award books. One to look for.
Thanks,
Pete

Thank you Pascal, Great info.
So do all the so called Deschler type have this different pin formation, or are you going on the front details?
Regards,
Pete

Here you go, no maker, and standard pin type (as I have seen)

This circular mark appears in the same place on both faces of the frame. Not a die fault I would think but perhaps something in the pressing process like a bit of rubbish?

Hmm that dosn't look very good.
Detail of marks.

Reverse. Sorry for the bit of cigarette ash on the cross, one of my other bad habits.

So what do you think of my KC. Front

I'm speechless Jan (and green). I bet you came near to toppling over trying to take that photo. You are going to have to get a very tall stepladder soon!

It looks like an imperial flag on the sub., and a dazzle painted ship to the left, making me think its WWI , as only the British used dazzle painted ships (I think) and also the sailors are waving their arms, is this possibly an image of a U-boat being captured. Or could it be an image of the final surrender of the German fleet in 1918?

NO 4. This looks exactly the same as No.1 but as I can't seem to put my hands on it for the moment, my memory you know, I can't compare it or show a reverse scan.

Pete

No3 with army backing, I've always liked this but now I note the pin configuration on the rev. I'm not so sure.
