Hi Anatoly,
unfortunately I didn't managed to find any information about your decoration in my literature. But on an internet site: http://www.bolha.com/index.php/ukaz/image/...2543834/slika/0 I found this picture of another decoration:
As we can see this decoration has golden rays while yours has silver. From this point of view is my opinion, that your decoration is 2nd class. It is common for yugoslavian decorations that gold indicates 1st class, silver 2nd class and bronze 3 class. For example order of republic with golden, silver and bronze wreath or order of partisan star with golden and silver wreath. But this is just my opinion, let's wait what will tell us collectors of firemen decorations.

Was the gold-wash-version of that badge the one for active officers up to 1970 ?
Hi Christian
About gold submarine badges I found information only about gold submarine badge for active officers (so called new form badge). It was given to active officers for 10 years of service on submarine or for 10 years of service in headquarters of submarine unit.
The gold wash badge of so called old form still remains mistery for me. I still looking for answer, why there are no information about this badge, neither in books where you can find informations about other yugoslavian badges (including submarine badges).

Christian, your information is correct. The "new submarine badge" was instituted on the 7th February 1970. So, from 1970s the new form badge was given to active officers and the old form badge was given to seamen.

My oppinion is, that all girls are looking in the same side. The diferece between them on the two upper pictures is, by my oppinon, in how the upper piece of the order in positioned on the bottom piece. If you compare the girl at one o'clock on the upper picture and the girl at four o'clock on the botom picture, you will see that they are the same. And then follow equal girls in the same order.

And here is the picture of variation three (I found this picture in internet)
Besite these badges, there are also two another badges connected with pre military education:
- excellent participant in pre military education badge and
- badge for special merit in pre military education for teachers.
The two badges are equal in design, only difference is in measures. The badge for teachers is biger (3 X 4,2 cm), while the other one is smaller (2 X 2,8 cm).

Very nice medal Sebastian! Could you please tell me what is the difference between the 2 variations. Thanks for your pictures!
I'm sorry, I can't tell you what is the difference between the two variations of the medal for pre military education. I have also today for the first time hear that there are two variations of that medal. Let's wait what will Milan tell us.
As I said, I have information only about one variation of the medal. But there are three variations of the badge "the best in pre military education":
- variation one with latinic subscription
- variation two with cirilic subscription and
- variation three with latinic and cirilic subscription and with different motif.
Here is picture of badges which I have in my collection (variation 1 and 2).

Unknown air defence badge
in Southern European & Balkan States
Posted
On the following picture is presented the badge which arrived in my collection last week. The badge measures about 2 cm in diameter. It seems to be an air defence badge (PVO = protiv vazdu?na odbrana = air defence). But this is the only thing that I can guess about this badge.
I will be grateful for any information about it.
