Hello,
I'm new to badges, so I'd like help evaluating this piece. It looks OK to me. What do you think? Thanks, Ian

Roger that. The only problem is, even though I'm logged on, I can't access the database. It states I don't have permission to use that area. Can anyone help?

Is there a source available that covers what an authentic eagle should look like? The detail on these looks OK, and as a newbie, that's what I focus on. What other features of the eagle gives it away?
Thanks,
Ian

Thanks everyone. It looks as if the fighter clasps are a go, but I'll have to continue the hunt for a pilot badge and PO badge!

One for, one against. Anyone else?
Thanks, Ian

Yes, I can see that now. Was Assman the only maker to employ the dip? What other features give this away as a fake?
Thanks, Ian

I would agree with Gene. Don't see any problems with that one.

Pilot badge...

I'm just now getting into badges, so I thought I would run these by everyone before I start laying out money. In time, I hope to be able to pick out the not-so-obvious fakes. I'll post others in different threads....

I only have acces to two picture, but what do you think?

This has been down for awhile, but I thought I'd add a bit more. As far as I know, the only N&G's faked are the second type (rigid frame with elastic strap). Some are VERY good, and the only way to tell is a slight difference in the curvature of the lenses. I could really only see this when comparing a real pair to a fake pair side by side. Maybe if someone has one of each we can set up a comparison photo?

Hi Everybody,
Could you please give me your opinion on these goggles? It seems to me early pattern of the Luftwaffe goggles, but I am not sure..
Giszter
Hello,
These are definitely not WWII Luftwaffe goggles. I can't place them exactly, but they are not Luftwaffe.

I've been practising. What do you guys think of these? I think the fighter clasp looks OK. The other two, no.
