hello Chris,
I think it is the regimental staff of Reserve-Infanterie-Regiment 259.
Major Bruns was commander from 27.01.1918 until 23.07.1918.
The Regiment was part of the 78. Reserve-Infanterie-Division, which was in the
Lorraine area in March 1918.

Hello,
in the "Ehrenrangliste des deutschen Heeres 1914-1918", pubished in 1926, are two
abbreviations: "GSt" (= Generalstab) and "GStst" (=Generalstabsstelle). Can anyone
explain the difference of these general staff positions ?
Many thanks
Uwe

Hello,
in 1910 the "Stammliste of the Garde-Grenadier-Regiment No 3" was published.
In 1938 this list was updated until 1918 as a part of the "Nachrichtenblatt
K?nigin-Elisabeth-Hort". Does anyone have this Stammlisten-Update and can help me sending
me a copy ?
Thanks
Uwe

Hello Chris,
the book has 176 pages and is as detailed as many regimental histories.
I?m interesting in commanding lists of the commanders of the regiment and the battaillons.
Therefore it isn?t very exactly.

Hello Chris,
it exists a history of the RIR 238 from Georg Herbrechtsmeier,
published in 1965. The book is available in the "Zentralbibliothek der
Bundeswehr" in Strausberg.
