Me again chaps, the last one of my arrivals is actually not a Heer buckle but a nice Nickel over brass HJ buckle made by Assmann. I just love the bent prongs found on some of these Assmann buckles
Hi guys, yet another newbie for me, this also arrived, a very nice crank catch Heer by Hermann Aurich dated 1943. I already have a denazified 43 crank catch and a very nice 1942 crank catch, I just thought this would make a nice brace with the 42 dated one. All I need now is a 44 dated buckle to make the trio
Hi guys, just got back from my hols and had some new arrivals waiting for me. This Heer buckle is unkown to me. The maker mark is GD Gd, I have never seen this makers mark before and am hoping that someone may know who the maker mark is? So guys if anyone knows or has any idea could you please let me know
Hi guys, just wanted to show you the latest to the collection. A very nice steel buckle by Christian Theodore Dicke. Note the distinct Dicke eagle, very characteristic and unique to this maker
Hey Rob, I really hope it is pewter, would be nice to see something a little different but to be honest mate I think it will be Zinc, but I hope you prove me wrong mate, gives me another excuse to find another buckle
Could it be Zinc Rob? I think the Germans called it Feinzink, I have never heard of a pewter buckle before, I am not saying that it is not possible but even early war or pre war would they have used a metal like pewter for belt buckles? To me the maths just dont add up. Would be pretty cool if it was though, and a first
Hi chaps, yet another addition to the Heer collective. This is a nice Aluminium buckle by Adolf Baumeister, I like this one because you do not see many by this maker with the leather support tab for some reason (you dont see many of these full stop)
