Anyone know where I can source any ribbon for a WW1 Order of Max Joseph please?
Any advice much appreciated - Thanks.

That is a really nice find!
I'm still looking for a reasonably priced non-boxed example of the wartime Czech pilots badge ,
so if anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd be very grateful

Thanks very much Alex.
I thought it looked "good" compared with yours (and using the links posted earlier in the thread) but I'm new to all this, and thought there might be something I'd missed.
Cheers,
Jon

Hi Folks,
While we're on the subject of the ACE, can anyone give an opinion on this one please? (i.e. Real/Fake?)
Many Thanks,
Jon

Hi,
Have a look on this site http://www.ww2wings.com/wings/britainraf/b...nrafpilot.shtml There are loads of examples of genuine ones on there. WW2 ones vary a lot in design, quality, etc, because they tended to be made out of whatever material was available because "quality" cloth was hard to get hold of.
Unfortunately, I'm not an expert, but genuine WW2 wings seem to sell for about GBP 50 (approx) depending on the condition and rarity.
Hopefully someone who knows what they are talking about will be along soon!!
Cheers,
Jon

Hi,
Hopefully this is a fairly easy question for the esteemed member of this forum!
Did Hans-Joachim Marseille wear the Pilots badge or the combined Pilot / Observers badge?
I know he was awarded the combined badge with diamonds, but did he actually qualify as an observer with the right to wear the combined badge?
Many thanks,
Jon
