And, here's the last for tonight.

I'm pretty sure that these last two are not considered to be tinnies, but they seemed to fit in with the theme. I hope that's O.K. with all.

Here's a couple that I forgot that I even had!

I'm not 100% sure that it is mother of pearl but it sure looks like it to me. May I enquire as to why the tinnie is marked 1941 on the front while the backs are marked 1942? My 2 are so marked also. By the way, the two of mine are sequencialy numbered. The first is # 93568 and the second # is 93569.I am experiencing some troubles with my close up pictures. I hope to have that resolved soon. Practice makes perfect.

It's very difficult to get a clear scan of the back. The paper tag reads:
Carl Poellath
Abzeichenfabrik
Schrobenhausen

Has anyone here ever come across a boxed tinnie? This is the first one I've ever seen. I always wondered how the tinnies were put out or displayed for sale at the events. I guess that some came boxed. This one says:
9.u.10
Juli 1927
38. Gauturnen
des allgauer
turngaues
und 25 Jahr
Jubilaum des
Turnvereins
Buchloe
The box seems to be original to the tinnie. It is a custom fit. The pin and makers label are attached on the rear.

Hi, I'm a new member here and this is one of my first posts. I hope it's allowed to put in a linc. I was surfing the web this A.M. and came across these cards. Thought you might be interested in them. http://www.playle.com/dealers/dbrowse.php?PLAYLE+p8+0+1 I think you'll like them. Brooksquote]
