Hey guys...Saw Joe's post and I thought I'd show this one....got it not too long ago. I really like this variant as the sig rune is quite different from the others. Not an easy one to find - so I was happy to acquire this example!
Cheers!

Very cool! Thanks for sharing buddy! I agree: not a common Heer buckle! NICE!

Hey! Yes it was! I know I have it around somewhere - but you are right....it was me!

Hey Joe...I know what you mean about it looking like a current type buckle. I wish there were markings on it that would help me get a sense as to wether it's a fantasy piece or a reprodcution or a good one...though I am leaning towards repro. No big worries on that one....at least I know the other larger (more expensive) exampes are good!
Cheers!

That's a good question...I've often thought of that myself. The buckle itself is in really good condition (too good?). There are some areas where there is some type of wear but it's hard to say. There are no markings on it whatsoever. I can't say for sure that it is period. I don't know if any current vet org.'s use this type of buckle....that could mean one of two things: it's a really nice example of a period buckle - or it's a reproduction.
Cheers!

Hey...I forgot I had this one (Kept in a different case). It's a trouser type buckle - in great shape all 'round! I like the small helmet roundel affixed to the front!
Cheers!

Great looking buckle. I love these DJ buckles. Can't have enough! There are many types as well that make them quite collectable! Thanks for showing!

Don't know if you want other Stahlhelm variants or not....I have more - just not like the above shown example....I love that style by the way.

WOW....that is no small task. Not too many DJ buckles were marked...but MANY, MANY, MANY HJ's were marked by a MANY,MANY manufacturers....and there are all kinds of markings. It would be a very time consuming effort.
It would benefit us for sure....hopefully someone can find the time? I can't!
Cheers!

Nice buckle Ben! Do you only collect Heer buckles with tabs? I know you're going by maker and that sometimes beggars can't be choosers so I would assume you don't...but thought I'd ask...

Hey Joe...I understand completely. I didn't think you were disagreeing with him. You mention the late war polizei buckles...I know what you mean - I have one of those with the oversized tab...so in some cases they were still using tabs past '43/'44 but I think the stampings were not in use anymore. Good question about other services perhaps using tabs past the 43/44 year.....Ben? Any ideas? None are coming to mind for me other than the late war police
Cheers!

Here it is with it's small cousin - a much smaller type of DJ buckle (even harder to find! hahahaha)
