    1. Hey gang! I've posted this one on other forums too so you may have seen it already but I'm just so damn happy to have finally added one to my collection. This is my one and only Japanese piece (for now)....as I am a German militaria collector.

This is a nice NCO issued Shin-Gunto - govt. issued combat sword. Blade measures 27 inches and is in real good shape. No dents in the scabbard and matching numbers also. Handle is made of aluminum and does show wear but I'm more than happy with this piece!

Thought I'd post some pics. If any of the markings that I show mean anything to anyone - please let me know. I know one is an arsenal stamp but if you have more info - I'd love to hear about it!

      Cheers gang!

    2. Hey Pat ! Glad you like the buckle! It's a harder to find variant. The other buckles used by these Vet organizations were mostly made of brass and had a helmet featured on the front roundel. This eagle pattern I have shown still shows the helmet - but it's much smaller. I'll post some pics of some of the more common types. But what is really cool with these buckles is that there are so many different types of buckles that were produced!

      Cheers!

    3. Hey guys....I've got quite a few HJ's - some hard to find examples included - but this is my first "KH" example.

This buckle (exactly like the one pictured on p.501/ Nash) is considered a "transitional" buckle - back in the time when RZM was first introduced and there was a lot of confusion floating around as to how buckles should be marked/stamped.

I love this one! Lots and lots of markings: KH (for Koppelschlosshersteller), M4/49 for Steinhauer and Luck, RZM and the St. & L logo!

Assumed to be used sometime between 1934 and 1935, after the UE stampings were stopped and before the full out RZM regulations took effect, I really like this example!

A welcome addition to the collection!

Here are some pics for you guys!

      Cheers!

    4. Hey gang....those of you who know me, know that I'm mostly a buckles, armband and helmet guy...but I also like Wound Badges. I'm trying to get one of each type. At this point, my next one would be a gold ww1 cut out. Still trying to hunt one of those down - just not having much luck finding one  !!

In any case I thought I would post a quick pic of where my collection is at! More to come (I hope). ;)

      Cheers gang!

    5. Hey gang! Thought I'd show my newest buckle. I'm quite happy with this one. Hard to find and I had been looking for a while - without success! I love the look of this one....she's been around! Can't show markings but they are there (Richard Sieper and Son). It's a very weak strike.

In any case....quite a welcome addition to the collection! Here are a few shots for you guys!

      Cheers!
