Here it is with its more common "big brother"....the small buckle also looks like it had a gold wash to it....only small remnants remain in the nooks and crannies.

HAHAHHAAA....My mistake man!! I thought the direction of your comment was heading towards not knowing enough about these lids....my apologies!
And yeah....I know what you mean about putting extra cash into helmets rather than other "things" like cameras.....
You can always tell me what kind of helmet your favorite one is....then I can let my imagination run wild!
Sorry 'bout the mix up!

Great looker Joey....sure is a nice piece...can't say I have one with the swastika and tilted tri-colour. Good score!

I would think the chinstrap is original.....though it is no longer complete. Looks like the attaching clips on both sides have broken off.
Too bad about that but it is legit! Nice...

Hey gang...you might have seen this buckle before but I am dying to find out who was issued this small trouser buckle? It certainly looks military in nature....anyhow...I'm stumped.
Any information or leads would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for looking gang.

Way cool....I especially love that SS dagger. Those puppies are almost worth their weight in gold nowadays!
Very nice to see.

By the way: I absolutely love your Ortsgruppenlieter's armband....if you ever plan on selling that baby....I'd love to have one like that to add to my armband collection.
Beaucoup sweet!

Hey Byf.....give yourself time. There's nothing wrong with taking time to familiarize yourself with helmets in order to avoid getting a raw deal in the future.

Rick!
Man....that was super quick....thanks so much for the info. I knew it had to do with the medical field....just didn't know the details.
Thanks for the great explanation! I appreciate it

I think this armband was used by medics (????) but I am not in any way 100% sure on that....Can anyone tell me what these were used for? And what does the writing say? Thanks for the help!

Here is my baby: a Mark 1* Inglis 9mm Browning Hi-power. Same used by Canadian soldiers in WW2, Korea and even well into the 1980's.....you know what they say.....when it ain't broke....don't try to fix it.
Some of you may have seen this already but thought I'd post here!
Thanks for looking.

According to my references, the West wall medal was first produced in in bronzed brass and tombak (500 000 by the end of 1940).
A second striking of the medal took place at the end of 1944 and this time the medal was made of bronzed zinc.
Hope that helps....
