    1. Mervyn,

I had some problem trying to sign in a couple of weeks ago. I was getting a message saying the site didn't recognize my name or password (the same one I have been using since I joined. I tried to send you a regular e-mail but got no response. I tried again tonight and decided to go for a "password change". I obviously was successful and here I am again :-)  Things are going well with the family. I'm adding another pic of some more of my collection.

    2. REF #6: Hey Rick,

Sorry for the delayed response. No, they are not in any order. I thought about it (for maybe a second or two :P ) then figured I'd just add them as I got them. Most come from my son for Christmas, birthday, anniversary. I don't know where this kid gets them as we only have a couple of antique stores in the area. I suspect he found a treasure load sometime ago while he and his sister were on a vacation and just bought a load, then farm them out to me. That's OK, I enjoy them whenever :D

As far as a specialty, I don't. I use the book in REF #1 when I get any. I am hoping to start focusing on Military Police units, but won't pass up others a well. I don't buy or sell, just trade. (If you have any, let me know and we may be able to work out some trades.

      Happy New Year :-)

    3. I have about 100 US Army DUI's (Distinctive Unit Insignias).

      QUESTION 1:

I have many that are duplicates. Realizing they were worn on both shoulders, is there more value having both verses just one?

      QUESTION 2:

Unfortunately many of the posts on the back have been broken off so the DUIs could be displayed in a book. Obviously, value is lost on these. Realizing that "value is in the eye of the beholder", is there a market for these, either as traders or selling them?

    4. This is an unusual one. Worn 1943-45 on a Me. State Guard uniform. The guy who wore this was a marine on Wake. In June, 1941 he slipped off a ladder and fell under a truck, which promptly snapped his right leg into several pieces and got him sent to the USA. There he got a medical discharge-on December 6th, 1941(!) and arrived home just in time to hear about Pearl Harbor. He spent the war building a Liberty ships in Portland, Maine and occasionally doing POW supervision in the Maine Guard. He still walks with a cane.

    5. What was the purpose of this patch? Was it for French who joined the US army? This uniform has all US insignia and ribbon bar and one overseas bar. No other patch on the other shoulder
