Thanks Mervyn. I'll get some close-ups and post.

I'm sure I posted these somewhere in the past, but will repost now. These are some of my police vehicles collection.

They are all originals. The serial numbers match and actually some still have the original seals on them.
I was actually able to go online and track the histories of most of the vessels as well as verify from the ZIPPO web site.

John,
Sorry, but I have no idea of value. Keep checking back here as other members may have a better feel for your question.
Good luck.

Check this out. (You'll need to scroll down a bit)

Military Assistance Patches History
Berlin District
Worn from: Late 1940's - 1960's.
The colors black, yellow, and red are taken from the German flag. The Brandenburg Gate is symbolic of the city of Berlin.
I would guess the gold leaves are for a US Army Major.

Part of my son's collection of Zippo lighters. A few years ago we were in Hawaii and went to their weekend "flea market". He saw one with a US Navy ship on it and stopped to ask about it. The guy said he could have it for $5.00, then asked if he was interested in any more? My boy said sure. The guy brought out a BOX full, all Navy ships. My son wound up with 22 total. The guy gave him a "deal". He got all of them for $50.00!

I have to go along with Paul about these being pins or badges. Agree you show pictures of them as patches, but the three displayed look more solid than cloth. No arguments, just another observation

When God sent His angels to bring you home, He had His reasons. Someday we will be able to ask why, but for now, we offer prayers of peace and comfort to those left behind. RIP Brother

George/Hugh,
Thanks so much for your timely assistance. Probably the key bit of info from all of that was the fact that she was sold to Japan for scrap. I appreciate your time.
Have a GREAT week.

My Dad returned from Korea in 1963 on the USS Breckenridge. I've looked in the Navy sites but can find no record of the ship. Can anyone give me some help on getting some info on it please?
Thanks in advance

Not sure if this should be here or in the "Museums" forum, but decided (obviously) to enter it here as it is not a "military" museum.
After reading Foo Fighter's entry with the video clip on 10 Rillington Road, I was just curious how many of our members have ever had the opportunity to visit the Black Museum in London? I had the great fortune to visit about a month or so after getting assigned to RAF Chicksands, UK in 1969. I was a USAF Security Policeman (SP). Our Squadron Commander had made arrangements to have 10 SP's go on a "special, closed" tour. Being the new kid on the block, I thought I "might" get the opportunity to visit sometime during my forthcoming 3-year tour (but didn't really think it would ever happen.)
Well, as it came to pass, my Flight Sergeant (who was scheduled to go on the tour) was not able to go and recommended me to take his place. Not really sure why as I had only known the man for about a month, but wasn't about to turn down the opportunity.
It was a FASCINATING day that I will never forget. I found this short YouTube video on the Black Museum. Hope you enjoy and that perhaps we will hear from others that may have had the good luck to visit this fantastic piece of criminal history.

I apologize if I posted this earlier but just thought I'd add a little more to the pics side
Got this a few years ago from a friend in Lethbridge, Alberta when I was stationed in Montana.

Which retired wallet badge are you trying to get?
I'm NOT at all picky! If you have an extra of ANY type, I'd be interested. I don't buy or sell, just do some trading. If you have something, please contact me through my regular e-mail:
Thanks

Mike,
I am sorry to hear you couldn't open "most" of the threads. Not sure what the problem might be. I went to the major link and tried over 30 of the sites that were hot linked; all worked.
As far as the other museums you mentioned, I took the liberty to look up their web sites and am providing their links below.
1. Canadian War Museum - http://www.ottawakio...w.warmuseum.ca/
2. The Military Museums of Calgary - http://themilitarymuseums.ca/
