Just picked up a Luger holster, dated 1916, made by C. Billep Spandau. Written iside the flap appears to be the name K. H. Lauche. Other possibilities would be K. W. Lauche. As a novice, how would I go about trying to research for this person? I am making a guess that based on the quality of the hand writing (it almost looks like stamped script) and the excellent condition of the holster (doesn't look like it saw many hard days) there is a good chance they would have been an officer. But that is just a guess.
