Karl Recht was killed in action on april 19, 1917 near Ailles, France, "Chemin des Dames" (extract from the historic of the 4 GRzF) :
I had applied for research to Deutsche Dienststelle (Krankenbuchlager) and they had learnt me that he had been twice hospitalised (wounds or illness?) at September-October, 1914 and the end of September, 1915. At that time, he was Gefreiter :
This dog tag was found about 20 kilometers in the rear of the front. Today, this man still don't have grave because he was buried in "Cerny" cemetery (near Ailles) which was destroyed at the end of 1917.
