The Liege medal ribbon does not have the national colours on the edge. If it is not a national award, why the ribbon edge and why the coat of arms?

Medal with a female figure with a bucket or basket in a farmyard scene with cockerel, hens and a rabbit, Belgian arms to the reverse.
Any help appreciated
Peter.

Brilliant - I am sure you are right - thank you.
I had searched for 'JFK' - you can imagine the results.....

Could the K stand for Klub ?

I suppose the Gothic script pointed me that way - but there is no prince, duke etc that fits the cipher. Also, why would a German state have medals made in Sweden...
Is it possible the ribbon colours were originally Swedish blue and yellow and have faded?

It may be Swedish but perhaps it is for a German state.
Any help gratefully received.

Thank you Miguel. I bought it at auction in London in a mixed lot of Spanish, Italian and Irish medals a couple of years ago and it's been puzzling me ever since.
Regards,
Peter.

Hello Antonio,
The piece has no marks. I know who King Carlos VII was - I don't know if this piece is genuine/rare??
Peter.

Can anyone tell me is this a Carlist award - 'C' for Carlos ??
I've never seen one before - is it rare / original ?
Thanks.
Peter.

This is exactly what I was hoping someone would post.
I was referring to the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem (the official Order of St John) founded by Royal Charter of Queen Victoria and till going strong.
This is perfect.
Thank you very much indeed.
Peter.

No. The Order of St John was not instituted until 14 May 1888 whereas this piece is hallmarked 1884.
This piece has foxes (?) rather than unicorns and the lions are upper right and lower left, rather than upper left and lower right.
Also, the crown and attachment differ.
Thanks anyway.
Peter.

This cross has silver hallmarks for London 1884 and maker's mark of Henry Thomas Lamb, a jeweller and silversmith with premises at St. John’s Square, Clerkenwell, specialising in Masonic jewels.
Can anyone give me more information?
Thanks,
Peter.
